Overall, this is how car shopping should be: No pressure from sales and be treated like a valuable person.My boyfriend's family got a G37 sedan back in 2010 from Sean. It was just an okay experience because the deal wasn't very competitive as we still felt the price could have been -$1000, since it ...was a base journey with 35k+ miles on a 2 yr-old car. The reason my bf's family still ended up brought the car was because the blue exterior was a rare find.After that we went back at the end of 2014 on a Sunday, and I brought my G37s coupe from Dave. (They really have a great collection of Infiniti's. So if you're an infiniti fan like me, you should at least check out this place.)This time, the experience is different. The process was hassle free and no hard feelings, no bad attitude sales.Dave helped us on financing, answered all questions my family and I had and sorted out all our concerns. We also got to talk to the mechanic about a couple minor hardware concerns, and they were able to fix them right away. Dave and the mechanic were patient even though they had few other groups of customer visiting. I liked to have time alone to look and think when buying a car; I hate those traditional dealers where the sales follow you everywhere.  The only problem I had was my coupe was newly arrived to their inventory, so the car didn't have smok check yet when I purchased it. So I would have to take the car to their designated smok check shop. It took some of my time, but Dave was responsive via texts and emails through out the smoke check process. If I could leave the car at Carsmith and pick it up couple days later, I wouldn't have to deal with the smok check, Dave could take care of it. But since I sold my previous car, it's more ideal for me to take the new car on the day I brought it (so i don't have to spend more on rental car)Price wise, I would suggest to do your research thoroughly, be reasonable and know your bottom line. Take the in/exterior color, package, any extra option in consideration. Know how common or rare the car is. Carsmith is pretty firm on their price, so you can't just walk in and assume to have more than $1000 discounts. At the end, they are running a business to make profit. Recently, my father was looking for a commute SUV to buy. Unfortunately Carsmith focus more into luxury car, and didn't have what we were looking for, otherwise we could have gone back again. My boyfriend and I have already recommend Carsmith  to all our friends and family.If you're looking to buy a luxury car from a trustworthy expert, definitely go to Carsmith! I wouldn't recommend if you are looking for car worth less then $10k because those cars in Carsmith are mostly trade-ins. Carsmith didn't pick and buy those car to put in their inventory.+ everything is indoor, so you won't feel like shopping in a flea market. If you know cars, you would appreciate the fact that cars are kept indoor. That's how shopping for luxury car should be. Show more

I bought a GTI here a while back and it was overall a good experience.  You can expect the posted price to he competitive so there was not much back and forth which was nice.  They do put a premium on customer service and never felt pressured into a deal.  I would buy again from this place and tr...ust that I was receiving a fair deal. Great buying experience, walked in and got to test drive my car immediately, don't have to deal with salesmen asking you a million questions. I ended up buying a 2011 G37 with 36k miles from these guys and so far love the car- have been driving 5 months with no issues.  The reason I will only give... them four stars is because I really don't believe they gave me fair market value for my two trade ins, 2006 Altima and 1999 Range Rover. I understand they invest in these cars to get them in proper order but still after seeing what they are advertising these cars at now- I do feel pretty disappointed in what they offered me. Bottom line, if I could go back I would just sell these cars myself and come to Carsmith with a few extra grand versus trading them in. Not a big deal but definitely worth the hassle to sell your old car yourself.   Overall, I do recommend this place to anyone looking for Infiniti's in the Bay Area. I can't vouch for their warranty service since I haven't had an issue yet but it seems like they have you pretty covered if anything arises. Cool business model and definitely beats the typical old fashion dealerships. Show more

My wife was looking for an Infiniti G35x. She found a nice low mileage one on-line at Carsmith Motors in Fremont which is about a three hour drive from our home. We made the drive and met Jeff Grondz at Carsmith. The experience was friendly, very low pressure and we were surprised that we were given... the car to test drive without the salesman on board. We noted a few cosmetic items on the car and Jeff said they would be taken care of. When we came back a week later to finalize the purchase, the cosmetic items were taken care of as promised by Jeff. The purchasing/paperwork part was simple and straightforward. Jeff also offered us financing at such a very low rate that it was a no "brainer." We also decided to purchase the extended warranty that was offered at a reasonable price due to the potential expensive cost of any future repairs the vehicle might need. There was no haggling on the price but it was a fair price considering it was a CPO vehicle with low cost financing and extended warranty. We did have one minor problem with the vehicle once we got it home. After several phone calls and emails and because we lived so far away from Carsmith, Jeff requested we take the vehicle to our nearest Infiniti dealer (about a 45 minute drive from our home) where the problem was identified and repaired. Eventually we were fully reimbursed by Carsmith for the cost of the repair. I'm sure if we lived closer to Carsmith and had been able to return the car to them for repair, the problem would have been resolved in a more timely manner. However, Jeff was "a man of his word" and took care of the problem. Since the vehicle was purchased "as is," once you drive the car off the lot, many dealers would have said the problem is yours. Carsmith did what was right and stood behind the CPO vehicle they sold us which speaks for their reputation and the good reviews they receive on-line. My wife and I would recommend Carsmith Motors to those looking for good pre-owned vehicles and a good car buying experience. Show more
